Elex 2 is a sci-fi fantasy-themed open-world action RPG that takes place on the hostile alien planet Magalan the sequel to 2017’s Elex both developed by the German game studio Piranha Bytes most known for their work on the Gothic and Risen series of games Years after Jax defeated the Hybrid Magalan is still a fractured world factions still commit endless war with each other over valuable resources called the “Elex” Again Jax senses a new threat coming from the sky that will endanger all life on the planet if they don’t put their differences aside repel this new threat Dive back into the series you know and love the classic Elex experience of huge and hand-crafted open worlds with diverse environments multiple completely unique factions and that post-apocalyptic science fantasy flair Aside from a world that feels lived-in you will also encounter unique NPC companions that you can recruit who will remember what you have done and act accordingly Join or leave your group depending on your actions and can die which will have consequences to the larger story Traverse the environment using your iconic Jetpack or use it to engage or disengage on enemies With more fluid controls for the close combat system than the first game
